Frontier League soccer: Sackets Harbor holds on for sixth straight victory

SACKETS HARBOR — Eric Chrostowski and Ethan Dillabough each scored in the first half and the Sackets Harbor boys soccer team went on to edge Thousand Islands 2-1 Monday in a Frontier League crossover game to record its sixth consecutive victory.

After Chrostowski scored in the 13th minute, Dillabough followed with his unassisted goal in the 29th for the Patriots (7-2 overall, 6-2 league).

Alex Keegan made four saves for Sackets Harbor.

Zach Mason scored for the Vikings (4-5).

COPENHAGEN 7, BELLEVILLE HENDERSON 0

Brenden Jacobs scored two goals and assisted on two others as the Golden Knights rolled to a “D” Division victory in Copenhagen.

Greg Kunert contributed a goal and a pair of assists for Copenhagen (10-0, 9-0).

Josh Snyder, Connor Eddy, Breven Jacobs and Cory Moser added a goal each for the Golden Knights.

Copenhagen’s defense did not allow a shot on goal against the Panthers (0-8).

INDIAN RIVER 7, CARTHAGE 0

Tyler Cook scored three goals and the Warriors routed the Comets for an “A” Division victory at Carthage.

Kyle Smith and Junior Malinoski each finished with a goal and an assist, and Ben Godin provided two assists for Indian River (8-1).

IHC 3, GENERAL BROWN 0

Jude Fusilli tallied a pair of goals and an assist as the Cavaliers blanked the Lions in a crossover game at IHC.

Goalie Jarrod Smith made six saves to register the shutout for IHC (8-2).

Fusilli assisted on Jake Fusilli’s goal in the first half and then scored twice in the second half against the Lions (4-6).

WATERTOWN 4, SOUTH JEFFERSON 0

Kenny Schimpf’s penalty-kick goal in the 11th minute proved to be the game winner as the Cyclones blanked the Spartans (3-7) in a crossover game in Adams.

Marcus Lavarnway made four saves for Watertown (9-0).

Joe Freda, Matt Olney and Brad McKinney also scored a goal each for the Cyclones.

LOWVILLE 4, SANDY CREEK 0

Nate Mooney scored the game’s first two goals to propel the Red Raiders to a “B” Division triumph at Lowville.

Colin Stewart contributed a pair of assists for Lowville (4-5, 4-4).

Collin Farquhar tallied on a penalty kick for the Red Raiders and Caden Laribee added a goal.

Lowville’s defense did not yield a shot on goal against the Comets (0-10).

ALEXANDRIA 4, BEAVER RIVER 0

Nick Shangraw scored the first two goals and Kyle Gionet scored the last two to power the Purple Ghosts to a crossover victory over the Beavers (1-7) in Beaver Falls.

Tristan Thomson and Jordan VanBrocklin each provided two assists for Alexandria (5-5, 4-5).

GIRLS SOCCER

INDIAN RIVER 4, CARTHAGE 1

Caitlin Pacilio and Sidney Black each scored two goals as the Warriors upended the “A” Division leading-Comets at Indian River.

Goalie Kammikia Barnes made 10 saves for Indian River (4-6, 3-5).

Mackenzie Kidder scored for Carthage (5-4-1, 5-3-1).

GIRLS SWIMMING

ADIRONDACK 90, SOUTH LEWIS 79

Makenna Burr (200-yard individual medley, 100 butterfly) and Shawna Lee (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle) each won two individual events to pace the Wildcats (4-4) to victory in a nonleague meet in Boonville.

Mia Poste (100 backstroke, one-meter diving) won a pair of individual events for the Falcons (0-7).
