WADDINGTON - A 55-year-old Lisbon woman was transported to the Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt., Saturday afternoon after her motorcycle slammed into a piece of farm equipment on County Route 44 at McGinnis Road in the town of Waddington.
St. Lawrence County Sheriffs Department deputies said a 2003 Honda motorcycle operated by Sandra L. Fuller of 62 Bown Church Road, Lisbon, struck the rear left side of a hay bind being towed by a tractor operated by Fred G. Mayette, 71, of 1611 County Route 44, Waddington.
Witnesses told deputies Ms. Fuller appeared to be distracted by something when she struck the hay bind. She suffered injuries to her right leg and chest. She was taken from the scene by the Waddington Rescue Squad and later flown to Burlington, Vt., for treatment of her injuries.
