Watertown police charged Chaz A. Saxon, 26, of 309 Mill St., Apt. 208, with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration after he allegedly stayed at the Academy Street playground after its posted closure of 9 p.m.

Police said Mr. Saxon remained at the park after being told to leave. He also allegedly fled from police for a block, despite an officer telling him to stop.

After being taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Mr. Saxon was released with an appearance ticket for City Court after he posted $500 bail.
