Regina K. Drake-Booth, 16, of 34930 Route 126, Carthage, and Christopher E. Hickey, 24, Syracuse, were arrested early Tuesday on a charge of third-degree criminal possession of a stolen property in connection with a stolen car.

They were charged after a Watertown police officer stopped the car, a 2007 Hyundai Sonata stolen from Syracuse on July 25, 2012, for allegedly driving without headlights on Ten Eyck Street, police said.

Ms. Drake-Booth also was cited with driving without a license, failure to keep right, failure to signal, having tinted side windows and driving without headlights, police said.

Mr. Hickey also was charged with third-degree robbery in connection with a Sept. 21 incident in which he stole a cellphone belonging to Tammy Snyder after he threatened to punch her in the face, police said.

Both were taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment
