Focusing on ways to assist manufacturers in the region, a Jefferson-Lewis Manufacturing Day will from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Charles H. Bohlen Technical Center, 20104 State Route 3, Watertown.
The day-long event, which includes lunch, will start with a roundtable discussion from 8:30 a.m. to noon, which includes a panel of manufacturing industry leaders. The discussion will highlight career opportunities for young people in the industry, workforce needs and challenges facing manufacturers, and how issues may be addressed locally.
Participants will then have a choice between three tours offered from 12:30 to 3 p.m.: New York Air Brake, 748 Starbuck Ave.; Jain Irrigation, 740 Water St.; and an employers tour of BOCES facilities and programs.
