The Frederic Remington Art Museum’s 2013 Members’ Juried Art Exhibition opened May 18 in the museum’s Richard E. Winter Gallery and Torrey Family Gallery. The exhibit included 49 works of art by 44 artists. The exhibit was on display through Sept. 7.

This annual exhibit is open to any artist who is a member of the museum.

The public was invited to view the exhibition, either in person or online at www.fredericremington.org, and vote once for the Public’s Choice Award. The 2013 Public’s Choice Award went to Denny Morreale for Raurri at the Sandbanks, 2011. Mr. Morreale was awarded a framed print of Frederic Remington’s 1890 painting, Antoine’s Cabin, on Sept. 11.

Juror Gregg Fedchak selected prize winners at the opening of the exhibit. The 3rd place prize went to John Elwood Cook for Ice House; Second place went to Lutz Scherneck for Two Fish Blue Pond and Best in Show went to Judy Andrus Toporcer for Rear Window.
