No charges will be filed against a state police trooper who left a loaded .357-caliber Glock pistol in a bathroom stall at Grass Point State Park, near Alexandria Bay, on June 22.

A state police investigation of the trooper, who was not named, ended on Aug. 29.

After the gun was found by a cleaning crew member, the trooper called the park to report that the gun had been left there accidentally. The trooper retrieved the weapon from park police upon presenting a gun permit.
