SEXUAL ABUSE - COLTON - Canton-based state police charged Bruce E. Newton, 54, of Childwood with third-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child and Taryn R. Barber, 17, of Childwood with endangering the welfare of a child Monday morning following a sex offense complaint investigation initiated by a complaint at 9:15 a.m. Aug. 23 from the town of Colton.



CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - NORTH LAWRENCE - Massena-based state police charged Brian M. McCord, 29, of Lawrence with fourth-degree criminal mischief after responding to a domestic dispute at 9:34 a.m. Monday in the town of Lawrence.



AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - LOUISVILLE - Massena-based state police charged Andrew R. Fox, 22, of Endicott with a felony count of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana and ticketed him speeding at 6:02 a.m. Monday following a traffic stop on Willard Road in the town of Louisville.



ONE INJURED - CHAMPION - A Massena man was involved in a two-vehicle accident Monday in Jefferson County that left one person injured and the other driver facing a driving while intoxicated count.

Carthage-based state police said they involved in a two-vehicle accident involving John H. Putman, 58, of Massena and E. Pasalacqua III, 28, of Watertown at 5:28 p.m. Monday on state Route 3 at state Route 26 in the town of Champion. Pasalacqua was charged with driving while intoxicated.



CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - MASSENA - Village police charged Alexandra B. Bosco, 16, of 1104 Vine St., Liverpool, with fourth-degree criminal mischief Monday morning after responding to a complaint at Rose Hill. She reportedly kicked and broke the glass in front of a fire extinguisher, threw chairs and punched walls before fleeing the facility. She was taken into custody following a short foot chase, police said. She was arraigned by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $500 cash or $1,000 bond.



PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - MALONE - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Monday. Among those:

■ Nancy M. Richard, 38, of Brushton at 6:55 p.m. on Route 11B, at Meehan Road, in the town of Malone.



AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police charged Shawn R. Mitchell, 37, of 18 Park Ave., Massena, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 9:11 a.m. Tuesday after responding to a report from state police that a vehicle hauling a U-Haul had struck a sign at the Sunoco station on Main at West Orvis Street.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Carissa R. Kirkey, 23, of Warren Avenue, Massena, for speed in zone (51/30) at 4:04 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on East Hatfield Street.



FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Jason M. Ward, 32, of McCluskey Avenue, Massena, for following too closely at 9:21 a.m. Tuesday following a property damage accident on Main Street.



MAKING U-TURN - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Jared W. Hollander, 22, of Norfolk for operation of an unregistered motor vehicle, making an illegal U turn and two counts of failure to signal at 4:11 p.m. Monday after observing a vehicle make a U-turn on Main Street and fail to signal two turns.
