LEANDRA’S LAW - NORFOLK - Massena-based state police charged Jonathan E. Corbine, 23, of 62 Trout Lake Road, Edwards, with a felony count of aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law following a traffic stop at 6:30 p.m. Friday on County Route 38 in the town of Norfolk. He was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was found in possession of Bubrenorphine Hydrochloride (Suboxone) tablets and ticketed for speeding. His blood alcohol content was not available. Troopers said Corbine was intoxicated and had a 14-month-old child in the vehicle elevating the DWI charge to a felony under Leandra’s Law. He was arraigned by Norfolk Town Justice George Grubee and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.



PETIT LARCENY - LOUISVILLE - Massena-based state police charged Deshelia R. (Renee) Thomas-Jandrew, 37, of 144 South Raquette River Road, Massena, with petit larceny Friday following an investigation into the reported theft of gasoline from the Massena Country Club at 12:50 a.m. Aug. 23. Thomas-Jandrew reportedly pumped 10 gallons of gasoline, valued at $35, from a gas pump that had accidentally been left unsecured by country club employees. A witness observed the unusual activity in the early morning hours and was able to provide troopers with information that led to Thomas-Jandrew’s arrest. She was issued an appearance ticket for Sept. 18 in Louisville Town Court.



UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - NORFOLK - Massena-based state police charged Melinda S. Branham, 26, of Waddington with unlawful possession of marijuana and ticketed her for operation of an uninspected motor vehicle at 1:30 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on the Marsh Road in the town of Louisville.



ACCIDENTS - MASSENA - State police from around the region investigated a number of accidents Friday. Among those:

■ Bryan J. Marcellus, 24, of Massena and Russell J. Shaffer, 52, of Middleburg, Pa., were involved in a two-vehicle collision at 11:06 a.m. on County Route 20 in the town of Westville. Troopers said one person was injured in the accident.

■ Mary M. Salonick, 45, of Massena and Nancy Behrens, 70, of Parlin, N.J., were involved in a two-vehicle collision at 10:52 a.m. on Cascade Road at Old Military Road in the town of North Elba.
