Two men were charged by area police on Sunday with driving while intoxicated:
■ Brian G. Kampnich, 53, of 23235 Knowlesville Road, Watertown, was charged by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies at 3:09 a.m. Sunday with aggravated DWI after police said he was seen burning out his tires on Factory Street in Evans Mills. His blood alcohol content was listed at 0.21 percent.
A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.
■ Craig N. Widrig, 28, of 8771 Fillhart Place, Woodville, charged by state police at 3:40 a.m. Sunday on South Main Street, Adams, after he allegedly crashed into a parked car. His BAC was listed as 0.12 percent.
