STOP SIGN VIOLATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Ian D. Hendricks, 19. of Ransom Avenue, Massena, with failure to stop at a stop sign at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Ransom Avenue.



INADEQUATE HEADLIGHT - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Hiep M. Nguyen, 42, of Market Street, Potsdam, for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights at 9:16 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Main Street.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Tanya M. Green, 26, of North Main Street, Massena, for speed in zone at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on the South Raquette River Road.



NO SIGNAL - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Stacy M. Gravlin, 38, of Marsh Road, Norfolk, for failure to signal a turn at 3:39 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Parker at Center Street.



BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Jason P. Kennedy, 38, of 42 Marie St., Massena, on a bench warrant at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday whenhe turned himself in at the Massena police station. He was arraigned on the warrant by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson and released to reappear at a later date.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Edward A. Thibeault, 58, of North Bangor for speed in zone at 12:49 a.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on state Route 37.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Nanette A. Tremblay, 43, of St. Lawrence Street, Ingleside Ont., for speed in zone at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on East Orvis Street.



UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Village police charged Joshua M. Gauthier, 23, and Sarah M. Gauthier, 26, both of different apartments at 2 Willow St., Massena, with unlawful possession of marijuana at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday at the apartment complex.

Gauthier’s arrest came hours after her boyfriend, Joseph J. Belile, had been jailed on a misdemeanor criminal contempt after police found the couple together on Boynton Street, violating an order of protection issued by Massena court directing Belile to stay away from Gauthier.

Village police charged Joseph J. Belile, 29, no fixed address, previously listing addresses in Massena and Constable, with second-degree criminal contempt at 7:20 p.m. Monday on Boynton Street. He was arraigned by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $2,000 cash or $4,000 bond.



UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Village police charged Aronhientha T. Benedict, 17, of 94 School St., Akwesasne, with unlawful possession of marijuana at 10:17 a.m. Monday after responding to a complaint from summer school administrators.
