OTTAWA, Ont. - Jarod Knowlton pitched a crafty complete four-hitter as the Ogdensburg Maples downed Ottawa 12-3 in 19U Baseball action Wednesday night.

Knowlton struck out two and blanked Ottawa the rest of the way after allowing three runs in the first inning. Bryant Wentworth (3 walks, 3 runs) and Lefty Arsenault(3B, 3 walks, 4 runs) combined to score seven runs in the offense which scored four times in the second inning and pulled away with three in the third and three in the fifth.

Kinnon LaRose and Breton LaRose each singled twice and Seth Pinkerton, Andrew Cole and Jon Tayler all added singles.

Sunday’s invitational at Father Martin Field will see the Maples host host Gouverneur at 10 a.m. and Norfolk facing Peru at 12:30 p.m. The consolation and championship games are scheduled for 3 and 5 p.m.
