WATSON — A Lowville man was arrested Thursday evening after he allegedly punched a deputy on Number Four Road in the town of Watson.

Lewis County sheriff’s deputies said they responded to the report of a domestic dispute at 6758 Number Four Road and attempted to speak with Todd M. Suiter, 23, of 7574 S. State St., Lowville, who was walking up the road near the residence.

Mr. Suiter then became agitated and hit Deputy Brett Croneiser in the left side of the head before being subdued with pepper spray, deputies said.

He was charged with second-degree assault and resisting arrest, arraigned in Lowville Village Court and sent to Lewis County jail, Lowville, on $5,000 bail.
