STOLEN PROPERTY - MADRID - Massena-based state police charged Michael P. Middlemiss, 24, of Potsdam with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property - firearms stemming from an investigation into an incident reported at 8:50 p.m. June 13 from the town of Madrid. Troopers said the charge was lodged at 2:10 p.m. Saturday on Bank Street, Norfolk.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Sherri A. Oliver, 44, of Coburg, Ont., with unlawful possession of marijuana at 3:17 p.m. Friday at the U.S. Port of Entry in Rooseveltown. Oliver was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana during a secondary inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents and was turned over to troopers.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - LONG LAKE - Tupper Lake-based state police charged Jason L. Horton, 29, of Canton with unlawful possession of marijuana at 8:44 a.m. Saturday on state Route 30 in the town of Long Lake.
PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - POTSDAM - State police from around the region investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Saturday. Among those:
■ Michelle R. Fisher, 40, of Massena at 8:12 p.m. on County Route 39, near County Route 36, in the town of Louisville.
■ Tammy L. Monroe, 39, of Norfolk at 9:38 p.m. on County Route 35, near Tanner Road, in the town of Potsdam.
