Wireless Zone, a Verizon Wireless retailer, has opened a new, larger location at 1100 Champlain St. just off Route 37 in an effort to become more visible. The move is paying off, said Dick J. Guarino, store manager, noting that theyve hired an additional sales representative in order to deal with an uptick in traffic. The store now has three sales representatives and three services stations to help customers.
It is hosting a grand opening celebration that continues today and Sunday
Nathan R. TenEyck, vice president of sales at Wireless Zone, said the new store is roughly 500 square feet larger than the previous location, bringing the total retail space to 1,500 square feet. It looks a lot better, Mr. TenEyck said of the retail space. We get a lot more traffic coming in.
Along with the grand opening weekend the store will feature a bounce house for kids and a smartphone raffle. A Bluetooth headset and gift certificates to Busters are also being raffled off.
