A motorcyclist was injured Sunday afternoon when she failed to negotiate a curve on Old Rome State Road in the town of Hounsfield.
Tina M. Lamon, 43, of 20603 County Route 63, was traveling south on Old Rome State Road about 1:30 p.m. when she lost control of her 2012 Honda motorcycle and the bike ended up going into a ditch, Jefferson County sheriffs deputies said.
She complained of shoulder pain and was taken by ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center, deputies said. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening, they said.
No tickets were issued, but deputies blamed operator inexperience as a cause for the crash.
Deputies said Ms. Lamon had been riding with another biker, Roswell P. Steele, Adams Center, when the accident happened.
