PORT LEYDEN — A town of Leyden man was jailed Thursday for allegedly violating a court order during a dispute at his Rugg Road residence.

Lewis County sheriff’s deputies charged Joseph K. Kittleman, 31, of 6618 Rugg Road, with first-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was arraigned in Lowville Village Court and sent to Lewis County jail, Lowville, with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

He was accused of violating an order of protection issued roughly an hour before the alleged incident and of damaging a door.

Daniel C. Kittleman, 27, same address, was charged with second-degree harassment.

Further details were not provided by deputies.
