WEST CARTHAGE The village Board of Trustees left open the public hearing about a moratorium on the construction of fixed-base or ground-based antennas Monday night.
Board members wanted time to obtain a better definition of fixed-base and home-based antennas. They will resume the hearing during the July 15 meeting.
Mayor Scott M. Burto said the moratoriums intent was to allow time to regulate the towers because of ham radios popularity. A 180-day moratorium would allow the board to research existing regulations and gain public input.
