FC Freeze blanked North Country Collision 3-0 while Heuvelton turned back Parishville-Potsdam 7-3 in North Country Womens Summer Soccer action on Tuesday.
Freeze 3, NC Collision 0: At the SUNY Potsdam Rt. 56 field, Brianna Hayes and Tara Evans both scored off an assist from Eileen Coyle 10 minutes apart midway through the first half. Sherri Peck finished off a play set up by Olivia Hanno in the closing minute to seal the win.
Heuvelton 7, Parishville-Potsdam 3: At the Heuvelton Central varsity field, the home team built a quick 3-0 lead and led 4-1 by halftime as Nicole Demer anchored a balanced attack by generating a hattrick. Eliza Pierce, Aliza Armstrong, Heather Johnson and Emilie Ross connected for the other goals.
Lauren Richards netted two goals in the losing cause. Michaela Cole struck for the other while Marlee Wilson handled crease duties.
In the other games played on Tuesday, Massena held off the Lounge-KMA Construction-Chips Place of Potsdam 3-2, Colton-Parishville edged Akwesasne 3-2, Edwards-Knox outlasted Norwood-Norfolk 3-2 and Canton clipped Harrisville 1-0.
Massena 3, Lounge-KMA-CP 2: Emily LaRoe scored both goals in the losing effort.
Canton 1, Harrisville 0: Vanessa Badlam broke through for the only goal of the game.
