FIRST TEAM

BRIANNE ARTHUR

School: Watertown (FL MVP)

Grade: 12

Position: Attack

Stats: 74 goals, 36 assists, 78 ground balls

College plans: Binghamton

Coach’s Report: “She’s a real student of the game and she’s just a complete player. So we’re hoping there will be few more like her down the road for us because she’s certainly been a special player for us.”

— Tim Burr, Watertown coach

ERIN FRANCIS (NAC MVP)

School: Massena

Grade: 12

Position: Attack

Stats: 92 goals, 49 assists

College plans: Syracuse

Coach’s Report: “She really had four great seasons at Massena. This was her most outstanding season. She became the all-time leading scorer in the program, which I don’t think anybody will ever touch. She’s just a leader. We owe a lot of our success this year to the fact she was on the team.”

— Jeffrey Slack, Massena coach

MORGAN ALEXANDER

School: South Jefferson

Grade: 10

Position: Attack

Stats: 72 goals, 13 assists, 16 ground balls

College plans: Undecided

Coach’s Report: “Morgan is a coaches’ player who strives to be the best she can be at every moment she sees opportunity. Morgan practices like she plays, relentless from offense to the defensive restraining line. Up by eight or down by one, in practice or in games, you will not notice a difference in her intensity.”

— Jen Williams, South Jefferson coach

KATIE BRIERTON

School: Indian River

Grade: 12

Position: Attack

Stats: 48 goals, 33 assists, 44 ground balls

College plans: Albany

Coach’s Report: “Katie was the key ingredient to much of the success we were able to achieve on the field. She led our team in nearly every offensive category and late in tight games she always wanted the ball in her stick.”

— Indian River coach Fred Lavancha

MORGAN CADWELL

School: Watertown

Grade: 12

Position: Midfield

Stats: 53 goals, 21 assists, 46 ground balls

College plans: Ithaca

Coach’s Report: “Morgan played nearly every minute of our season at midfield. She was our No. 1 draw girl, she guarded everyone’s best midfielder and she was the point of our offense. She is fiercely competitive and quietly effective.”

— Watertown coach Tim Burr

BRYANNA FAZIO

School: General Brown

Grade: 10

Position: Attack

Stats: 51 goals, 40 assists, 18 ground balls

College plans: Undecided

Coach’s Report: “It was great to see Faz back on the field this year after missing her entire freshman season due to a knee injury. As a coach you can teach skills, but the work ethic is something that comes from within, and Bryanna’s work ethic is something to be admired. Her presence on the field was a huge contributor to the success of our team.”

— Katie Clough, General Brown coach

MEGAN HANSON

School: South Jefferson

Grade: 12

Position: Defense

Stats: 23 ground balls, seven caused turnovers

College plans: Jefferson CC

Coach’s Report: “She’s ‘the communicator’ — if you hear someone on the field, it’s her, and the key to defense is effective communication. She has been a solid impact on our defense and our team in this category. ... I truly believe she has helped our team become better at consistent communication so our game plan is more effective.”

— Jen Williams, South Jefferson coach

ALISHA JACOBS

School: Massena

Grade: 12

Position: Attack

Stats: 71 goals, 30 assists

College plans: undecided, perhaps prep school for basketball

Coach’s Report: “Her and Erin Francis together were really fun to watch. It’s amazing some of the things they do. They know where each other is going to be. Alisha was our goalie last year but when we’d be up by a lot at halftime I’d let her play attack. I knew what kind of skill she had.”

— Jeffrey Slack, Massena coach

HANNAH KEGGINS

School: Watertown

Grade: 12

Position: Defense

Stats: 1 goal, 3 assists, 40 ground balls, 18 forced turnovers

College plans: Potsdam

Coach’s Report: “Hannah was the spark plug of our defense. She thrived on the one-on-one battles. Her open field speed on clears was unstoppable. In two years, she never missed a 6 a.m. wall ball practice, which speaks to her dedication and loyalty.”

— Watertown coach Tim Burr

KAYLA MILES

School: IHC

Grade: 12

Position: Midfield

Stats: 44 goals, 33 assists, 42 ground balls

College plans: North Carolina

Coach’s Report: “She’s been a great leader for us both on and off the field. She’s one of those players who plays all over the field while working hard for us.

She helped settle down our offense and was the girl we looked towards to get things going. With her going to a Division I school in college, I think that all derives from her passion and determination for the game. When she has her mind set to do something, you’re not going to be able to stop her.”

— Jason Burto, IHC coach

CLARISSA PERRY

School: South Jefferson

Grade: 10

Position: Midfield

Stats: 53 goals, 18 assists, 36 ground balls

College plans: Undecided

Coach’s Report: “Clarissa has the ability to control the momentum of the game, in a one-goal game she can have the ball in her stick and I am not worried about the outcome. For her age she has great field sense and a calmness that carries over to our team’s sense of security.”

— Jen Williams, South Jefferson coach
