Syracuse’s Jerami Grant is among 24 players who have accepted invitations to attend the 2013 USA Basketball Men’s U19 World Championship Team training camp that will be held June 14-19 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Grant, a 6-foot-7 sophomore forward for the Orange, was a key reserve and part-time starter for the 2012-13 Syracuse squad that reached the NCAA semifinals and finished 30-10. He averaged 3.9 points and 3.0 rebounds per game as a freshman.

The team is coached by Florida’s Billy Donovan, with Virginia’s Tony Bennett and Shaka Smart of Virginia Commonwealth as assistant coaches.

“We have a really impressive group of talented players and a large number of the players have USA Basketball and college experience. Selecting our 12-man U19 team will be extremely difficult,” said Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim, chair of the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team Committee.

The USA U19 training camp will be used to select the 12-member USA team that will compete in the FIBA U19 World Championships from June 27-July 7 in Prague, Czech Republic.
