Amo’s 3 run HR aids Lisbon win; Bulldogs rule, Devils split

LISBON - A eleven-run first inning, sparked by a three run homerun by Alex Amo, lifted the Lisbon girls softball team past Harrisville 15-8 on Friday in NAC West Division play.

Amo also supplied two singles while Natalia Pitts, Sierra Dobbs, Katie Sovie, and Rhiley Mee each connected for two hits. Gabby Walker, Alyshia Murray, Nicole Neadom, and Sam Gladle all singled once for Lisbon (7-2). Murray fanned six batters in the complete game win.

Sam Rounds connected for a double and a single for Harrisville (4-6) while Georgi Baker and Hannah Weaver each stroked two singles.

Heuvelton 17, H-

D 4: Abbey Basford supplied three singles and Hannah Thornhill stroked a double and a single for the 9-0 Bulldogs. Winning pitcher Logan Tallman, Shelby Williams, Paige McCormick each connected for two singles while Miranda Donnelly smacked a triple and Ali Scalone, Rachel Thornhill, Abby Williams, and Macy Richardson each singled.

Brooke Woodrow, Courtnay Davis and Courtney Harrington singled for H-D.

Hammond 2-16, C-F 4-2: In game one, winning pitcher Kristen Meek, Delaney Kerr (2 singles), and Brittany Rust all singled and drove in a run in the four run third for the C-F.

Taylor Bowman had two singles for Hammond (6-4). Brianna Langtry, Mikayla Horton, Emily Bush and Bridget Kron each singled once.

In the second game, the Devils pounded out 16 hits led by Taylor Bowman who finished 3-3 with four RBI and Bridget Kron and Brianne Langtry who each ripped a single and a double and drove in two runs. Winning pitcher Mikayla Horton, Stephanie Morgan, and Macy Wilson all singled twice while Alyssa Crosby ripped a double and Gabby Marshall, Emily Bush singled. Kerr. Meek, Peabody and Cowles singled for C-F.
