To The Editor:

The Ogdensburg Garden Club is holding a wonderful fundraising event, a “Just For The Birds” Silent Auction and Sale on May 4 at Remington’s 311 House on Washington Street from 4-7 p.m. The proceeds from this event will be used to buy plants for the many gardens maintained throughout the city by the Ogdensburg Garden Club.

Come and view over 50 birdhouses created by local builders and artists. Each birdhouse is unique: Sturdy outdoor birdhouses, decorative indoor and outdoor birdhouses, birdhouses made of pine, black walnut, red cedar, etc. Birdhouses for bluebirds, martins finches, wrens, nut hatches etc.

The cost of a ticket to the event is $5, which will include light refreshments and a chance to win a birdhouse as a door prize. Raffle tickets will also be available for a Birdhouse Quilt created by club member Debbie Bruyere. The quilt is a full plus size. One does not need to be present to win Silent Auction items, the door prize, or the quilt.

We hope many citizens will come and support the Ogdensburg Garden Club and our very talented area artisans. It should be a fun afternoon and evening.

Ann Groome

Ogdensburg Garden Club President
