CLAYTON — Thousand Islands Central’s nearly $20.5 million spending plan for 2013-14 was adopted by the Board of Education at Tuesday’s board meeting.

The tax levy will be increased 3.25 percent, which Superintendent Frank C. House said is within the district’s tax cap.

The $20,495,294 budget is $904,682, or 4.6 percent, more than the current year’s $19,590,612.

“We were as tight as we get, but we didn’t cut any positions,” said Mr. House. He said the budget was adopted unanimously by the board.

The board also approved making May 24 a day off to extend the Memorial Day holiday.
