GOUVERNEUR — A village resident was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding in a Sunday traffic stop.

Christopher D. Worden, 31, of 42 Beckwith St., was charged by state police at 2:57 a.m. Sunday after he was stopped for allegedly speeding on Beckwith Street. His blood alcohol content was measured at 0.14 percent, police said. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication.
