UNNECESSARY NOISE - POTSDAM - Village police charged Scott J. Stuart, 21, of Ottawa and Alex M. Giarratano, 23,of Islip with unnecessary noise - yelling at 12:15 a.m. Friday after responding to a noise complaint on Pleasant Street.



UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - POTSDAM - Village police charged Cody W. Smith, 19, of Victor with unlawful possession of marijuana and ticketed him for operation of a vehicle with insufficient tail lights following a traffic stop at 12:33 a.m. Friday on Pierrepont Avenue.



OPEN CONTAINER - POTSDAM - Village police charged Austin E. Florian, 18, of Southington, Conn., with an open container violation at 1:08 a.m. Friday on Market Street.



OPEN CONTAINER - POTSDAM - Village police charged Todd J. Jaworski, 20, of Camillus with an open container violation, underage possession of alcohol and criminal impersonation at 1:55 a.m. Friday on Market Street. Police said Jaworski wa stopped for having an open container of alcohol on Market Street and then provided an identification belonging to someone else.



CRIMINAL TRESPASS - POTSDAM - Village police charged Daniel P. Giblin, 21, of Binghamton with criminal trespass at 5:02 a.m. Friday on Pine Street. Police said Giblin entered a residence on Pine Street without the owner’s permission.



FAILURE TO YIELD - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Brent A Ryczak, 21, of Pennellville for failure to stop at yield sign when required following a traffic stop at 9:16 p.m. Friday on Union Street. Police allege Ryczak failed to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic.



RED LIGHT VIOLATION - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Rochelle M Fletcher, 32, of Black River for illegally passing a red light following a traffic stop at 9:22 p.m. Friday on Market Street. Police said Fletcher was westbound on Elm Street. and passed through a solid red light.



RED LIGHT VIOLATION - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Christopher Whispell, 20, of Potsdam for illegally passing a red light following a traffic stop at 9:58 p.m. Friday on Main Street at Market Street. Police said Whispell was westbound at the intersection of Main and Market streets and passed through a solid red light.



OPEN CONTAINER - POTSDAM - Village police charged Tyler J. Moor, 21, of St. Louis, Mo., with an open container violation at 10:15 p.m. Friday on Market Street.



DISORDERLY CONDUCT - POTSDAM - Village police charged John Carlson, 20, of Painted Post with disorderly conduct at 11:24 p.m. Friday on Market Street. Police said they lodged the charge after observing Carlson blocking traffic on Market Street.



FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Samantha C. Swinney, 19, of Fonda for following too closely at 5:19 pm Friday following a property damage accident on Pierrepont Avenue.
