Two Watertown men face two counts each of second-degree harassment after allegedly being involved in an altercation with two Western New York men early Thursday on Factory Street.
Gordon J. Majo, 32, of 25729 Ridge Road, and James D. Manton, 44, of 24021 Route 12, Apt. 9, were each charged by city police at 1:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Factory Street.
It is alleged that at about 1:10 a.m. Mr. Majo struck Rapheal J. Ramos, Buffalo, in the face, knocking his glasses off and pushing him to the ground. It is also alleged that Mr. Manton punched Mr. Ramos several times. According to a statement given to police by Shane P. Leddon, Batavia, Mr. Majo punched Mr. Leddon in the face six or seven times, causing him to suffer a swollen lip, scraped hands and pain in his neck and head. Mr. Leddon told police that Mr. Manton also punched him two or three times.
Mr. Mayo and Mr. Manton are due to answer the charges in City Court.
