CARTHAGE The village Board of Trustees approved measures concerning the Police Department during the March 18 meeting.
Trustees authorized Police Chief Reginald Huber Jr. to purchase a 2013 Ford police utility vehicle at an amount not to exceed $40,000 using the police car reserve funds. The vehicle, which should be delivered in the summer, will replace an older vehicle.
Trustees also gave their approval for the repair of a police cruiser damaged in a car-deer accident. The damage cost is less than the insurance deductible fee, but replacing decals will bring the expense to $1,060.
Board members also authorized the chief to attend a pursuit policy workshop April 29 in St. Lawrence County.
