HOMER Morgan Alexander continued her hot start to the season as she poured in five goals to spark the South Jefferson girls lacrosse team to victory over Homer, 16-5, in a nonleague game on Saturday.
Maddie Knapp supplied three goals for the Spartans (2-0), while Clarissa Perry and Madesyn Alexander added two goals and two assists.
Olivia Porter led the Trojans (0-1) with two goals while Emma Porter added three assists.
LIVERPOOL 10,CARTHAGE 6
Mallorie OBrien paced the Warriors with three goals as they opened the season with a nonleague win over the Comets in Carthage. Kasi Cabrey collected four points, including three assists for Liverpool.
Mackenzie Kidder, Carly Sullivan and Doria Darroch scored two goals apiece, and Rebecca Abbott made 15 saves for Carthage.
WESTHILL 13, GENERAL BROWN 3
Ryan Zimmerman scored five goals and assisted on another to pace the Warriors to victory in their season opener.
Richie Easterly had a goal and three assists, while Luke Longo, Jake Centore and Mark Purcell each added a goal and two assists. Jack Sweeney made nine saves for Westhill.
Cole Johnson had a goal and an assist for General Brown (0-2).
