GENESEO — Mac Johnson and Jeremy Vautour each scored three goals to lead the St. Lawrence University men’s lacrosse team to a 9-7 victory over SUNY Geneseo in a nonconference game Tuesday.

Garrett Gagne, Davey Hovey and Cam Scullen also scored for the Saints (4-3 overall).

Steven Cregan led SUNY Geneseo (3-3) with two goals. John Felix, Andre Keating, Tim Burgess, Brad Willows and Kyle Johnson also scored.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

SUNY POTSDAM 16, SOUTHERN MAINE 15

Emily Petit scored an unassisted goal with 50 seconds left to lead the Bears (1-3) in a nonconference game in Clermont, Fla.

Whitney Boshart and Denise Johns each scored four goals and added an assist to lead SUNY Potsdam. Petit finished with three goals.

Katie Putnam, Bailey Weigel, Bri McClusky, Margaret Wall and Michelle Varney also scored for SUNY Potsdam.

Jacki Kelly led Southern Maine (4-2) with four goals. Jenna Cyr scored three and Rosie Forster, Lauren Santo and Samantha Purcell each scored twice.

SUNY GENESEO 16, ST. LAWRENCE 7

Katey Hart tallied five goals to lead the Blue Knights (5-1) in a nonconference game in Geneseo.

Emily Haggerty scored three goals, while Lea Paris, Rachel Petrone and Meredith Winter each produced two for SUNY Geneseo. Caroline Buonocore and Kylie Caesar also scored.

Stephanie O’Rourke and Brigid Hurley each scored twice for the Saints (4-3). Michaela Maybee, Caroline Bailey and Chloe Knapp also scored.

SOFTBALL

SUNY POTSDAM 5, SUNY PURCHASE 3

Megan Johnson went 2-for-2, including a home run, and drove in three runs and also got the last two outs for a save as the Bears (5-1) won a nonconference game in Titusville, Fla.

Ashley Thayer, Heather Johnson, Molly McCuin and Alexis Lerman each added two hits for the Bears.

Christine Leo went 2-for-2 and drove in three runs for SUNY Purchase (1-4).
