AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT - MASSENA - Village police charged Heather M. Kirby. 27, of 92 state Route 345, Potsdam, with aggravated harassment at 3:46 p.m. Saturday after she reportedly made 41 phone calls to her ex-boyfriend and father of her one-year-old child between 1:51 p.m. and 3:31 p.m. p.m. Saturday and then went to his 16 Linden St. residence, kicked the door several times and yelled and screamed. Shawn Nicol said he has answered a few of the calls and Kirby told him she was going to kill him and his new girlfriend, Holly Snyder, and dance on their graves. He said the calls had continued after Kirby had been directed to stop calling him after an initial complaint had been lodged by Ms. Snyder.

Mr. Nicol told police he had picked up his son at 8 a.m. Saturday and answered some of Kirby’s phone calls in an effort to set up another child exchange with her. “I asked Heather several times about picking up (our son), and she just wanted to yell and scream about Holly and court orders,” Mr. Nicol said in the statement he signed for police.

Kirby was arraigned by Acting Massena Village Justice James M. Crandall and released under the supervision of the probation department pending an appearance Tuesday in village court. The court also signed a temporary order of protection directed Kirby to stay away from Mr. Nicol and Ms. Snyder and stipulating that child visitation exchanges must be arranged through a third party.
