MASSENA - The Massena Police Department is investigating two residential burglaries that have been reported in the last few days.
These burglaries occurred at residences that are seasonally vacant due to the occupants relocating to warmer climates during the winter months.
These properties are not located near each other and at this time we do not have any information which leads us to believe these burglaries are connected in any way, Massena Village Police Chief Timmy J. Currier said Tuesday.
We are encouraging family members and neighbors of known seasonally vacant properties to check those properties for signs of activity and to be observant for suspicious activity, he added.
If anyone discovers a break in or observes anything suspicious at residences in the village, they should immediately contact the Massena Police Department at 769-3577.
