SHELTON, Conn. - The high-scoring Tri-Town Pee Wees ran into a tough Western Connecticut team in the semi-final round of the Tier III Northeastern Regional, but a 23-save shutout performance led the Timberwolves to a 2-0 victory and an opportunity to play Maine for the tournament crown.

Will Arquiett broke a scoreless tie 6:15 into the second period in a contest that saw both clubs have a number of scoring chances in an evenly played game. Noah Adams was credited with an assist on Arquiett’s goal.

Colby Jenkinson added an insurance goal with just 1:05 left in the game.

The championship game is slated for 3 p.m.

The Timberwolves enter the championship game having surrender just three goals in four games. They enter the title game against a strong Maine club having outscored their opponents 17-3 in four games.
