Christopher G. Ackerman, 22, of 975 N. Church Road, Lacona, was charged by state police with seven counts of animal cruelty and two counts of not providing appropriate shelter.

He is accused of leaving three dogs without food and water outside on Jan. 25 when the temperatures were -10 degrees during an incident in the town of Pamelia. He was given an appearance ticket for Pamelia Town Court.
