ASSAULT - MASSENA - Village police charged John L. Rogers, 52, of 15 Burney Ave., Massena, with third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and petit larceny Sunday afternoon following an incident that occurred Saturday ewith his housemate. He reportedly took $37 and a cell phone from Tina Hanna’s purse, grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the ground and knocked her into a counter during the argument. She reportedly suffered head pain and a hand injury during the incident.



HARASSMENT - MASSENA - Village police picked up April Hall, 21, of 39 East Orvis St., Massena, on a criminal summons charging her second-degree harassment stemming from an investigation into an incident reported on Jan. 11. Hall reportedly punched and grabbed Jeanie Coughlin by the neck and pushed her down into the door. Hall told police the altercation took place after she attempted to prevent Couhloin from leaving the residence with Coughlin’s daughter.



UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Village police charged Sara J. Gauthier, 26, of 2 Willow St., Apt. 304, Massena, with unlawful possession of marijuana at 8:15 p.m. Saturday at her residence. Gauthier reportedly called police to report someone had stolen money from her and when police arrived at her residence to take her complaint saw a bag of marijuana sitting on the table in plain view.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed June E. Drake, 31, of Massena for speed in zone at 9:32 a.m. Sunday following a traffic stop on the Willow Street Extension.



STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Johnny D. Square, 18, of Massena with a stop sign violation at 5:41 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Grove Street near Ridgewood Avenue.



FAILURE TO YIELD - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Matthew D. Bray, 39, of Sheldon Road, Winthrop, for failure to yield the right of way entering a roadway at 4:30 p.m. Saturday following an incident on Main Street.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed T.L. Szlamczynski, 44, of County Route 50, Brasher Falls, for speeding at 4:18 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on East Hatfield Street.



UNINSPECTED MOTOR VEHICLE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Gerald H. Wolfe, 64, of Fordham Hill Road, Hermon, for operation of an uninspected motor vehicle at 4:03 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on East Hatfield Street.



FAILURE TO SIGNAL - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Alice C. Peets, 66, of Massena for failure to signal a turn at 3:45 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Parker Avenue at state Route 37,



STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Christine F. Creazzo, 24, of O’Neil Road, Massena, for a stop sign violation at 1:08 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Grove Street near Ridgewood Avenue.



INADEQUATE TAIL LAMPS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Jane C. Valentine, 77, of Massena for operation of a vehicle with inadequate tail lamps at 8:06 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on Main Street.



FAILURE TO YIELD - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Ronald J. Barney, 57, of West Mahoney Road, Brasher Falls, with failure to yield the right of way while making a left hand turn at 1:50 p.m. Friday following a property damage accident on South Main Street at Commerce Drive.



CELL PHONE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Edward J. Slade II, 21, of Massena for using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle at 12:33 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on East Orvis Street.
