POTSDAM SUNY Potsdam swimmers Alexander Taylor and Richie Zimmerman were named to the SUNYAC second team on Tuesday.
Taylor, a senior, defended his titles in the 100-yard and 200 breaststroke last week at the SUNYAC Championships in Buffalo. Taylor also set a school record in the 100 breaststroke and a conference record in the 200 breaststroke.
Zimmerman, a junior, set a school record twice in the 400 individual medley, which was previously held by Taylor. Zimmerman was also part of two school-record relay teams in the 400 freestyle and medley relays, along with Taylor.
■ SUNY Potsdams senior mens basketball forward Curtis Pierce capped off his career with a spot on the SUNYAC third team.
Pierce finished seventh in scoring with 17.3 points per game and fifth in rebounding with seven per game. Pierce concluded his career sixth on the Bears all-time leading scorers list.
