NORFOLK — Wilfred A. Middlemiss, 21, of 17 W. Main St., was charged Saturday by St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies with misdemeanor assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Mr. Middlemiss is accused of assaulting and injuring a 15-year-old family member whom police did not name.

He is scheduled to appear in Norfolk Town Court. An order of protection was issued for the victim, deputies said.
