POTSDAM Carly Mercer scored with five seconds left in regulation to give the Clarkson University womens hockey team a 1-0 win over Quinnipiac in an ECAC Hockey game on Saturday afternoon at Cheel Arena.
Jamie Lee Rattray and Erin Ambrose assisted on the game-winning goal for Clarkson (24-8 overall, 16-4 conference).
Erika Howe made 27 saves to shut out the Bobcats (17-10-4, 11-6-3).
ST. LAWRENCE 4, PRINCETON 2
The Saints fell behind 2-0 in the first period after Princeton (10-15-2, 5-13-2) got goals from Ali Pankowski and Sally Butler.
SLU (17-11-4, 12-5-3) responded with goals from Jenna Marks, Kayla Raniwsky, Kelly Sabatine and Mel Desrochers to pick up the win. Sabatines game-winner game during a power-play at 16 minutes, 38 seconds of the third period.
SUNY POTSDAM 4, BUFFALO ST. 3
Jessica Silveira and Sally Mooney scored goals in the second period to give the Bears (9-13-2, 5-9-1) the lead for good in an ECAC West win over Buffalo State at Cheel Arena.
Amanda Lucky and Alexandra Holowka also scored for SUNY Potsdam.
Tara Boiliard, Nikki Kirchberger and Kara Goodwin scored for the Bengals (6-17-1, 3-12-0).
SUNY POTSDAM 2, SUNY CORTLAND 1
The Bears (9-15-1, 6-10-0) clinched the final SUNYAC playoff spot when Brett Waters scored at 3:14 of the third period to give SUNY Potsdam a win over SUNY Cortland in Massena.
SUNY Potsdam is the No. 6 seed and will travel to play No. 3 SUNY Geneseo at 7 p.m. Wednesday in a quarterfinal.
Ryan Miller also scored for the Bears, while Michael Lysyj scored for the Red Dragons (7-15-3, 3-11-2).
SUNY CANTON 8, MERCYHURST CLUB 3
Eight different players provided the goals as the Kangaroos (8-15) beate Mercyhursts club team in a nonconference game in Canton.
Dave Schneider, Cory Giczewski, Vance Bridgman, Ryan Bradley, George Curry, Chris Giczewski, Kristian Leach and Austin Root were SUNY Cantons goal-scorers.
CLARKSON 77, RIT 63
John Coleman scored 24 points as Clarkson (16-7, 8-6) beat the Tigers in a Liberty League contest in Rochester.
Felix Abongo scored 16 points for Clarkson. Jerry Coleman scored 11 and Charles McAllister tossed in 10. Eric Travis led the Tigers (9-16, 5-11) with 16 points.
HOBART 77, ST. LAWRENCE 60
Richie Bonney scored 34 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Statesmen in a Liberty League win over St. Lawrence in Geneva.
Stefan Thompson scored 19 points for Hobart (19-6, 15-1).

Jeremy Smith scored 29 points as SUNY Cortland (21-4, 15-3) defeated the Bears in a SUNYAC game in Potsdam. Kevin McMahon and Brian Manning both scored 11 points for SUNY Cortland.
Mark Lake Jr. led the Bears (9-16, 5-13) with 16 points.

Khalid Vaughn scored 17 points and Scott Bartenstein added 12 as the Kangaroos (9-13) knocked off Maine-Fort Kent (2-26) in a nonconference contest in Canton.

Kaitlin Myers provided 18 points and 24 rebounds to send the Kangaroos (12-9) past Maine-Fort Kent (16-11) in a nonconference game in Canton.
Joelle Percy scored 14 points, and Karyss Terrance added 10 points and 13 rebounds for SUNY Canton.

Megan Touhey and Erin Wolstenholme each scored 18 points as the Red Dragons (11-13, 9-9) topped the Bears in a SUNYAC game in Potsdam. Caysea Cohen added 10 points for Cortland.
Katy Briedis led SUNY Potsdam (1-24, 0-18) with 16 points. Jessica Kouzan scored 12 and Adedoyin Akingba scored 10 points with 10 rebounds.
RIT 69, CLARKSON 59
Jess Kramer scored 18 points for the Tigers (12-13, 8-8) in a Liberty League win in Rochester. Courtney Tennant added 12 points and 10 rebounds for RIT.
Ashley Loggins and Leighann Tomita scored 23 and 13 points, respectively, for Clarkson (4-19, 2-14).
WILLIAM SMITH 72, SLU 70
The Hurons (16-9, 10-6) held off a late SLU surge to earn a Liberty League win in Geneva.
SLU (17-8, 11-5) was down by three with two seconds left when Allison Cady was fouled. She made the first free throw and missed the second on purpose, hoping for an offensive rebound, but William Smiths Jacqueline Murphy got to the ball instead. Syndi Salvatore scored 19 points for the Herons.
Kelly Legg led SLU with a 22-point effort. Kara McDuffee scored 18 points and Hannah Wilson tallied 12.

FOUR WINNERS FOR SLU
Ogdensburgs Andy Fisher was one of four individual winners for the Saints at the Denault Invitational at Cornell, winning the 300-meter run.
Spencer Patterson won the mile for the SLU men. Divya Biswal (triple jump) and Ella Martin (3,000) were SLU womens winners.
SAINTS SQUADS FINISH NINTH
SLUs mens and womens Nordic teams each finished ninth at the Middlebury Carnival.
Kelsey Nichols led the women with a 16th-place finish in the 15-kilometer race. Austin Meng was 20th in the mens 20K.
