CANTON A town of Canton teen was arrested Thursday evening after a domestic incident in which he allegedly tried to hit a relative with a power tool in the presence of a small child.
St. Lawrence County sheriffs deputies said Tyler E. Provost, 17, of 500 A Old Route 11, threatened a family member with physical injury and then attempted to strike that person with a cordless drill.
Deputies did not release any information about the age or gender of the child, or of the family member who allegedly was targeted.
The teen was charged with third-degree menacing and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court and released on his own recognizance pending an appearance in Canton Town Court.
