POTSDAM — Trevor Keleher scored four goals to lead the Potsdam hockey team to a 6-1 win over Norwood-Norfolk in an Northern Athletic Conference interdivision game on Wednesday night.

The win keeps Potsdam’s chances of claiming the Division I title alive. The Sandstoners (13-6 overall, 9-2 division) are one point behind Massena (9-2-1), but the Red Raiders have finished their league games. Potsdam ends the season with a home game Friday against Ogdensburg Free Academy.

Chad Varney scored one goal with four assists for Potsdam, Robbie Scott had four assists, and Connor Warden also scored for Potsdam. Austin Cousineau scored for the Flyers (9-8-2, 7-6-0).

SALMON RIVER 4, CANTON 3 (OT)

Jared Gray scored 2 minutes, 33 seconds into overtime to lift the Shamrocks (3-13-2, 2-8-2) in a Division I game in Fort Covington.

Canton (7-10-2, 5-4-2) forced overtime with a third-period goal from Sean Rodee, who also scored in the first period.

Ryan Thomas scored two goals for Salmon River, and Ron Boots also scored for the Shamrocks. Nate Gibson also scored for Canton.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

CLIFTON-FINE 76, HEUVELTON 71 (OT)

Hunter Hitchman finished with 42 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals as Clifton-Fine (13-3, 9-3) defeated the Bulldogs in overtime in a West Division game in Heuvelton.

Morgan Skeldon scored 23 points and grabbed 20 rebounds for the Eagles. Maddie St. Pierre led Heuvelton (12-5, 10-3) with 20 points and 11 rebounds and Olivia St. Pierre and Alexis Weidner each added 16 points.

EDWARDS-KNOX 54, MORRISTOWN 33

Kali Sharpstene scored 20 points to lead the Cougars (2-14, 2-11) in a West Division game in Russell. Katie Smith scored 17 points for Edwards-Knox. Jordyn Tulley led Morristown (0-15, 0-13) with 12 points.

COLTon-PIERREPONT 35, ST. REGIS FALLS 21

Andrea Aldous scored 14 points as Colton-Pierrepont (7-11, 5-7) used a 20-6 spurt in the fourth quarter to beat the Saints in an East Division game in St. Regis Falls. Brittany Rondeau scored 11 points to lead the Saints (1-11, 1-8).

GENERAL BROWN 72, SANDY CREEK 22

Nikki Maier scored a game-high 17 points and totaled five assists and five steals to lead the Lions to a Frontier League crossover victory in Dexter.

Monica Makuch added 12 points for General Brown (10-7, 10-6). Katie Pitkin halued in eight rebounds for the Lions.

Mykayla Howlett scored 10 points to lead the Comets (3-13, 4-14).

BOYS BASKETBALL

OFA 76, GOUVERNEUR 36

Breton LaRose scored 21 points to send OFA (16-1, 10-1) past the Wildcats (4-13, 3-8) in an NAC Central Division game in Gouverneur. Kinnon LaRose scored 14 for the Blue Devils.

ST. REGIS FALLS 71, BRUSHTOn-MOIRA 48

Caleb Green’s 32 points sent St. Regis Falls (16-1, 12-1) past the Panthers in an interdivision game in Brushton.

Corey LaBounty scored 16 points for St. Regis Falls. Justin Lavarnway led Brushton-Moira (7-9) with 11 points.

SALMON RIVER 80, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 46

Josh Hynes tallied 36 points to send Salmon River (2-15) past the Panthers in a nonleague game in Parishville.

Jordan Wood scored 13 points for the Shamrocks. Mike Burns led Parishville-Hopkinton (0-15) with 24 points.

SOUTH JEFFERSON 64, THOUSAND ISLANDS 45

Tom Bassett scored a game-high 21 points to pace the Spartans to a FL crossover triumph in Adams.

Jordan Schloop had 13 points and registered six assists and five steals for “B” Division champion South Jefferson (16-1, 15-1). Jake Worden had 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Spartans.

Reed Donnelly scored 16 points to pace the Vikings (13-5, 13-4) and Quincy Aubertine finished with 15 points.

GENERAL BROWN 44, SANDY CREEK 41

John Evans scored 14 points to lead the Lions to a crossover win at Sandy Creek on Tuesday.

Austin Giruzzi had 10 points for General Brown (3-14, 3-13). Zach Halsey led Sandy Creek (7-9) with 15 points.

WRESTLING

MASSENA 80, CLIFTON-FINE 6

Isaiah Perry (145 pounds) won by pin for his 150th career win, leading the Red Raiders (12-4, 7-3) past Clifton-Fine in Massena.

Massena’s other pins came from Skyler Cameron (113), Joe Ferrera (182) and Nolan Terrance (285). Carl Twyman (170) won by pin for the Eagles (0-12, 0-9).
