POTSDAM - Two SUNY Canton criminal justice majors were charged with petit larceny and false personation by state police at 6:40 p.m. Friday.

Crystal J. Stovall, 19, of 550 Caldwell Ave, Bronx, and Ashinet M. Scott-Brown, 20, of 80 Shoreview Drive, Yonkers allegedly attempted to steal health and beauty products from Wal-Mart. When the trooper arrived they allegedly gave him false names.

The pair is scheduled to appear in Potsdam Town Court.
