MASSENA - Two Massena women pleaded guilty to harassment charges for their roles in separate incidents last fall at a Massena nightspot.
Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson fined Amanda M. Terrance, 27, of 42 Grant St., Massena, $200 and a $125 surcharge for a second-degree harassment conviction. She was also placed under a one-year conditional discharge with a stipulation she abide by an order of protection directing her to stay away from Melissa Shampine.
Terrance reportedly struck Melissa Shampine in the face several times during a confrontation outside of Friar Tucks. Ms. Shampine told police she was standing outside Friars at 1:45 a.m. Nov. 20 when Terrance, also known as Bundy, started yelling at her. She said Terrance was upset about an incident that had occurred approximately a year earlier involving Ms. Shampines husband, Corey.
She kept saying she was going to get Corey, and it didnt matter if my daughter was there, Ms. Shampine said in the statement she provided police.
We got in an argument that ended up in Amanda Terrance punching me in the face and head numerous times. She threw me into a car, and I fell to the ground, Ms. Shampine added, noting she had been knocked to the ground three times during the altercation and suffered several bumps to her head.
In other recent court action before Judge Gustafson:
■ Margaret A. Perkins, 40, of 228 Barnhart Road, Massena, was fined $200 and a $125 surcharge for a second-degree harassment conviction. She was also placed under a one-year conditional discharge with a stipulation she abide by an order of protection directing her to stay away from Hayley Bradley.
Ms. Bradley told police she was standing next to the railing looking out at the dance floor at approximately 2 a.m. Sept. 2 when she was attacked by Perkins. She told police Perkins had threatened her in the past.
She said without warning Perkins approached her without warning and punched her on the side of the face. Ms. Bradley said she was knocked to the floor and said Perkins kicked her in the face and head.
