HENDERSON The Town Council tabled a measure to set quarterly dates for seasonal residents to shut off their water to avoid receiving a quarterly water bill.
Town Clerk Charlotte R. Richmond said she had received a large number of calls from residents about being charged into a new quarter, along with confusion about when meters would be read.
Councilwoman Torre J. Parker-Lane said that residents should take responsibility for their own meters, and Councilman George H. Aubin suggested the town charge yearly to avoid a timing issue.
The council also discussed a formal survey of the towns property line near its office on Town Barn Road, conducted by private surveyor Patsy A. Storino.
A hearing to discuss the towns wind turbine rules is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at the town office.
