U.S. Sen. Kirsten E. Gillibrand, D-N.Y., will visit the Community Action Planning Council of Jefferson County, 518 Davidson St., at 10:45 a.m. today to show support for the weatherization assistance and state energy programs.

She has urged President Barack Obama to include no less than $210 million for weatherization and $50 million for energy programs in his fiscal year 2014 budget, according to a news release from Mrs. Gillibrand’s office.

Mrs. Gillibrand has toured parts of Western and Northern New York to show support for both programs, and listen to testimonials from constituents.
