The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a nationwide effort between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball coaches that encourage basketball coach, their teams and the community to make a difference in the fight against cancer. Because cancer has touched so many of us in one way or another it gives us an opportunity to fight the disease.
On Friday, February 1, the Junior Varsity and Varsity Boys play Edwards and on Thursday, Feb. 7 the JV and Varsity girls play Lisbon. Both days games are slated home for 5:30 p.m. JV starts.
The coaches and athletes at MCS and the MCS Sports Boosters would like you to help them by wearing white to school and the games those evenings to create a White Out. The MCS Booster Club will be selling Morristown T-Shirts that will be white with the Cancer Ribbon logo and the Rockets logo.
The shirts will be here by January 31, so they can be worn on these days. The cost of the T-Shirt is $10 with the proceeds going to the Coaches vs. Cancer Foundation. Students, faculty and families, please support the basketball teams and this great cause through purachasing a T-Shirt and wearing it on these dates.
Any questions, please contact Amy Adams at 375-4856. All order forms must be handed to your homeroom teacher Mr. Snedeker by Friday, Jan. 25 as the school will not be purchasing extra shirts.
So please, pre-order if you would like to help us support this cause.
