A Watertown woman was arrested Monday morning after city police say a homeless man suffered numerous cuts when she pushed him through a window.
Melissa A. Barnwell, 34, of 409 Academy St., was charged with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
She was released without bail following arraignment Tuesday before Watertown City Judge Eugene R. Renzi.
The victim, Dale C. Groff, 37, no address, was treated at Samaritan Medical Center and released.
Police said the incident occurred about 6:30 a.m. Monday in the apartment of Bill H. Bailey, 319 Clay St. There was no apparent motive for the alleged assault, police said.
