WEST LEYDEN — An Erie County man was injured in a snowmobile crash at 5 p.m. Thursday in a field off Gallo Road in the town of Lewis.

Lewis County sheriff’s deputies said James H. Joyce Jr., 21, Hamburg, was driving a 2013 Ski-Doo XRS800 when he fell off his machine.

He was taken by West Leyden ambulance to Rome City Hospital, where he was treated for a fractured right leg.
