Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club President Andy Mitchell (right) presented the 2012 Fran Spooner Award to Scott McCormick on Tuesday night at the OFA-Malone basketball game.

The Kiwanis Club has been presenting the award since 2001 to honor a non-kiwanian who has gone beyond the call of duty serving the Kiwanis Youth Baseball-Softball-Soccer programs which involve over 500 youngsters a year. Joining McCormick for the presentation were his wife Tisha and children Justyn and Natalie. Past award winners are: Mike Morley, the late Russ McDonald, Dave Jones, Rick Bromley, Mike Gebo, Tom Luckie Jr., Steve LaRose, Mike Tooley, Angie McRoberts, Scott Lalone and Angel Maroney.
