ADAMS Freshman Quincy Zimmerman scored a career-high 15 points to help South Jefferson overcome the absence of their leading scorer, Austin Stevens, and win a crossover game, 56-24, against Watertown in girls basketball Tuesday.
Brooke VanCoughnett provided eight points, 10 rebounds and four assists, while Marisa Clark added nine points and five rebounds for South Jefferson (10-0).
Stevens missed the game with a sprained ankle and could be out for about two weeks, according to Spartans coach Pat Bassett.
Hannah Levine led Watertown (4-7, 2-6) with eight points.
THOUSAND ISLANDS 66, ALEXANDRIA 28
Kristin McGraw scored 22 points and pulled down eight rebounds to power the Vikings during a crossover game at Alexandria Bay.
Alesha Waterman and Erica Sullivan added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Thousand Islands (11-1, 10-1).
Lorraine Beard scored a team-high 10 points for Alexandria (8-5, 6-4).

Alex Hall scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the C Division-leading Beavers prevailed in a crossover game in Beaver Falls to stretch their winning streak to nine games.
Zack Steiner scored 13 points and recorded 10 steals for Beaver River (13-1, 12-1), which broke the game open with a 25-4 surge in the second quarter. Samuel Widrick added 12 points for Beaver River.
Antonio Figueroa scored 11 points to lead the Golden Knights (5-8).
