During a traffic stop early Wednesday on West Main Street in Watertown, a woman was found possessing heroin in her car, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.

Jolene M.B. Schermerhorn, 30, of 594 Merline Ave., is summoned to appear in City Court to face charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, having inadequate lights and failure to notify the Department of Motor Vehicles about an address change.

She possessed 12 grams of heroin, deputies alleged.
